In March 2023, SailGP touched down in Lyttelton Harbour for its highly anticipated New Zealand debut. The global racing championship brought some of the fastest boats and best sailors in the world to Christchurch, with a high-adrenaline weekend of competition set against one of the most stunning natural backdrops on the circuit. Beyond the racing, the onshore live site became a vibrant hub of entertainment, hospitality, and fan engagement, giving thousands of spectators a chance to soak up the festival-like atmosphere.

Contracted by The Event Works Group, event operations and the live site build were managed, overseeing logistics, suppliers, and infrastructure to ensure everything was ready to welcome fans to this world-class sporting spectacle.
