CELEBRATING THE RICH & WONDERFUL HAWKE’S BAY MUSIC SCENE, ONE SMALL HALL AT A TIME
In May 2023, we were super lucky to join the incredible Small Hall Sessions crew to bring the first ever Hawke’s Bay Music Month to life. Over four weeks, sixteen community halls across the region became stages for original music, each event featuring three local Hawke’s Bay acts and an audience ready to discover something new. It was a celebration of homegrown creativity, giving artists a platform to share their craft in intimate and one-of-a-kind settings, where people truly stopped to listen to their songs.
With sixteen events across the region, coordinating artists and venues was no small feat. The Small Hall Sessions team, true masters of their craft, brought heart and fun to every show. Their passion and dedication made every hall a welcoming space where music, community, and connection came alive, creating memorable nights for both the artists and the audience - closing in on the space between the song-writing and the listener.
