Hawke’s bay a&p show.

A Hawke’s Bay institution, the A&P Show brought the best of the country to the heart of the city for two full days in October. In 2024, we joined the team to help deliver this large-scale agricultural showcase - working behind the scenes to support planning and operations for the event that welcomed over 15,000 people to the iconic Tomoana Showgrounds.

From woodchopping to shearing, livestock to freestyle motocross, the show blended traditional rural competition with crowd-pleasing entertainment. Families flocked to the petting zoo, food trucks serve up classics (yes, including hotdogs on sticks), and competitors vie for top ribbons across prestigious equestrian and livestock events. Not to mention the ever-popular Mahons amusement rides which once again proved to be a hit.

With roots deep in community and culture, this was more than just a show, it was a celebration of Hawke’s Bay’s rural soul.
